Element: Determine data analysis purpose and key analysis parameters.
  • Determine purpose of analysing organisational data for consumer participation in sport, fitness, aquatic or recreation programs.
  • Identify organisational program service offerings subject to analysis.
  • Identify consumer market segments for program service offerings subject to analysis.
       
Element: Source, collect and analyse data.
  • Source and collect relevant participation data from credible external sources for comparison with organisational participation patterns.
  • Identify and collect available organisational data relevant to analysis purpose, and store according to organisational consumer privacy procedures.
  • Filter and assess quality of data and clean data to ensure relevance to analysis.
  • Identify participation patterns and trends from quantitative data through statistical analysis.
  • Evaluate qualitative information to identify patterns in reasons for participation and general satisfaction with program service offerings.
  • Compare organisational participation data to broader community data collected from external sources.

Assessment Tasks

Copy and paste from the following data to produce each assessment task. Write these in plain English and spell out how, when and where the task is to be carried out, under what conditions, and what resources are needed. Include guidelines about how well the candidate has to perform a task for it to be judged satisfactory.
Copy and paste from the following performance criteria to create an observation checklist for each task. When you have finished writing your assessment tool every one of these must have been addressed, preferably several times in a variety of contexts. To ensure this occurs download the assessment matrix for the unit; enter each assessment task as a column header and place check marks against each performance criteria that task addresses.
